Updated March 31, , You no longer need to be concerned about the default language when you buy a computer — if you prefer to use a different language, you can change it at any time. This is particularly useful for environments where multiple users access a single computer and those users prefer different languages.
That is truly a problem but no reason to bury your head in the sand. The tool I talk about is called Vistalizator and as the name implies, the tool was previously created for Windows Vista but it can since some time change also Windows 7 interface languages as well. So here is what we need to do… 1. Be sure that you have installed service pack 1 and 2 for your Windows system. The updates are required so that new language installations will work without problems.
Download Vistalizator. It is a portable application and you can move the file of the application to any folder of your hard disk. You might want to create a folder with the application name to move the file there. From there you can like always create a shortcut to the desktop if you like. You can find the language packs on the same side, where you did download the Vistalizator tool. If you want to have most of the Windows user interfaces translated, then download the MUI package.
Be sure that you choose the right one depending if you have a 32bit or 64bit Windows version. And then choose the language you want to download. Once downloaded, put the file into the same folder where you moved the Vistalizator tool just to have things in one place. This may take some time… just wait until the installation is finished.
After installation progress a new window will appear to tell you that the installation is done and you can now choose if you want to make your freshly installed language the new display language for Windows. If we say yes, a restart is needed. After the restart of your Windows 7 operating system, the changes will take effect.
That is all. Indeed, it is possible to use Vistalizator to change the language back to normal. Hope it helped. Rate this:
